What is a spiritual director?
A mirror, a weaver, a midwife attending, while God reflects and weaves God’s love birthing new life.

In this prayer practice, another person – a spiritual director assists you in releasing your stories and questions to God and then helps you to hear God’s responses more clearly.
How does this work practically?
What I do is pretty typical for spiritual direction. Below are answers to commonly asked questions.
How long and how often?
A typical session usually goes for 50 minutes and we usually meet once a month. I usually propose setting up sessions for 6-9 months and then check in about continuing more long term. I have met with my spiritual director for eight years. Some people have a director for a year or two or anywhere in between. We can work out what seems best for your life situation.
What is your fee?
My standard fee is $100, but I do not want cost to prevent you from receiving spiritual direction. I would like to offer direction to people who may not be able to afford it. If you are able to support that ministry you are invited to pay more than $100. If the cost would prevent you from getting spiritual direction we can work out a fee that works for you.
Do we meet virtually or in-person?
We can meet via video call, phone, or in-person. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Do you meet with people like me?
I offer spiritual direction for folks of any or no faith tradition. I have a desire to accompany pastors and people of color.
